Perspektive Wein was due to return to the LBBW Forum in Stuttgart on Sunday, 15 November 2026. Yet while Weinhandlung Kreis and a participating winery continue to advertise the date, the event page on Eventbrite now reports a cancellation at short notice. The information on its status is therefore contradictory – and a preview of the fair would currently be misleading.
A map of Europe was planned
Weinhandlung Kreis announced the return of its in-house fair after a two-year break. According to its ticket page, more than 50 European winegrowers were due to come to Stuttgart; Meininger cited around 60 producers from six countries: Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Spain and Portugal. Both accounts underline the international focus, but differ on the scale and list of countries.
Individual exhibitors’ pages also continued to carry the announcement. Weingut Schnaitmann listed the Sunday event from 11am to 6pm at Forum LBBW, Am Hauptbahnhof 2, and said it looked forward to talking to visitors in person. However, such notices remaining online do not establish that the fair will actually take place.
Not just tasting, but asking questions
The announced concept promised more than a series of tasting tables: producers were to present their wines themselves. This could have provided visitors with a framework for discussion. How do climate, soils and local traditions shape work in each region? Which grape varieties take centre stage, and what does an appellation mean locally? How does a winery translate these conditions into its decisions in the vineyard and cellar?
Comparisons across national borders in particular can make such questions tangible – provided the conversations go beyond labels and rankings. A merchant’s in-house fair has a dual role here: it brings producers and the public together, while also showcasing wines from its own range. Alongside questions of origin, visitors might therefore have been interested in how the merchant makes its selection and which regions or styles it deliberately presents side by side.
Clarify the status first
The Eventbrite ticket page explicitly states that this year’s event has had to be cancelled at short notice. The merchant’s page, by contrast, still lists 15 November, the LBBW Forum and the wines originally announced. The information reviewed provided no confirmed statement from the organiser about the cancellation, a possible alternative date or refunds.
Anyone planning a visit should therefore not rely on the older fair announcements. Direct confirmation from Weinhandlung Kreis is needed before publishing a preview. Until then, the planned map of Europe remains an announcement – not a tasting that can reliably be expected to take place.
